A re-imagination of classic mystery deduction board games, featuring legendary cryptids and mysterious locations. Kickstarter connects creators with backers to fund projects. Rewards aren’t guaranteed, but creators must regularly update backers. You’re only charged if the project meets its funding goal by the campaign deadline.

Rumors and Legends will be offered in English initially
Rumors and Legends will initially be offered in English. However, we are working with global partners for language conversions of physical and PDF game components in the following languages: German, French, Spanish, and Italian.
Game components planned for translation include Rulebook, Rumor Cards, Passport Cards, and Character Notepads, in physical and PDF form, as the budget provides. Box art and other components will remain in English for simplification of production budget and schedule.Â
You will be able to select available languages in the pledge manager. We are still talking to more partners and maybe adding new languages, so please stay tuned! We’ll update this page and the FAQ as more information is available.

Memphis designers/entrepreneurs Reuben Brunson (BIGABOT Games) and Kyle Taylor (Rowdy Dept.) are bursting onto the board game market with a new game of mystery and deduction.
During the early pandemic days, Reuben and Kyle realized they wanted more options for family entertainment, so they created it themselves. Inspired by childhood memories of In Search Of with Leonard Nimoy, Reuben began crafting original narratives for a mystery-inspired game themed around cryptozoology. He soon enlisted Kyle, a multi-discipline designer, to establish the look and feel of the game.Â

Risks and challenges
RISKS AND CHALLENGES All campaigns have risks, especially in 2022 and beyond, but we believe we have a clear understanding of all the steps to deliver a high-quality game to your tabletop. We are experienced business owners, with 20+ years of experience running successful businesses.
That said, producing thousands of games and coordinating their arrival after many months is a complex process and is different every time. We do not expect major delays, and we have built-in flexibility to our production schedule.
We intend to go into production and manufacturing quickly, as we have made significant progress on the production print files. COMMUNICATION We believe in strong communication with you. We’re here to create game experiences that bring our friends and family to the table.
We plan to share regular updates on Kickstarter during the campaign with a frequency that will let you know accurately the game status. We will also share behind-the-scenes info and early production peeks so you get to experience the game being produced.
In addition to the comments on Kickstarter, we also have built a great community on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube where you can ask us about this game and upcoming projects. Please note that our work on the components, component counts, quality and rules are still a work in progress and subject to change. As with all other Kickstarter projects we share there is no link between Board ‘n’ Bones and the publisher of these games. We simply search Kickstarter and share a project or two a month that we think looks good. Generally, I am looking for projects that are already funded but even then there is no guarantee that you will receive the product.
I chose Rumors and Legends this month because I like the idea of the game, I like the concept and I am a sucker for a cool board and minis.
